The Power 18x20 Chalet Log Cabin 44mm is the ultimate garden addition for anyone in need of extra space. These Award Winning Garden Buildings use high-quality materials and construction to ensure durability, making this Log Cabin a long-lasting investment for your home. With smaller windows than the other Power ranges, this design allows for the placement of desks or other furniture underneath. The Log Cabin can also be transformed into a home gym or relaxation area - the possibilities are endless.

The Power 18x20 Chalet Garden Room is a beautifully crafted garden building that is made in Britain from high-quality, sustainable Scandinavian timber used for its strength and durability. The 44mm interlocking logs are precision machined for easy assembly and a tight fit and 19mm Thick Roof and Floor Boards are used for stability. This attention to detail carries through from the maintenance-free EPDM Firestone Roof Covering to the Full uPVC Doors and Windows all backed up by a 10-year Warranty.

Easy Access Door Sill

Our 19mm thick floorboards provide a warm, homely feel underfoot, while our aluminium low threshold sills make it easy for wheelchairs and bikes to get in and out of the cabin. This means you can enjoy your garden room without worrying about stepping over a high threshold.

Scandinavian Timber

The walls of the log cabin are made from high grade Scandinavian Timber, which is sourced responsibly. This ensures that the cabin is built to last, with tongue & groove boards making up the floor and roof. Tanalised timber bearers are also provided to protect the floor and keep the cabin raised off the ground. This makes the log cabin a great choice for anyone looking for a robust and durable option.

Sustainable - We give back

We only use FSC certified timber from suppliers who are themselves FSC certified. This means that the wood has been responsibly sourced and the forests have been carefully selected. We also support our local community through numerous charity and community initiatives. Not only do we feel we have a responsibility to look after the planet, but we also want to give back to the community that supports us.

Do I need Planing Permision?

All of our log cabins are under 2.5m to the ridge, meaning that you can bypass most planning permission restrictions that may apply to residential builds. There are extra deep 145mm roof purlins to ensure that the strength and rigidity of the cabin aren\'t compromised by the reduced height. For all information regarding planning, please consult your local planning office.

Are our Log cabins Treated?

The log cabins come completely untreated, except the pressure-treated floor bearers. The extremely precise machining of the logs, which is required to ensure the perfect fit, requires the building to be treated after assembly rather than before. Treating the logs before you install the cabin may result in the components not fitting correctly as it can cause the timber to expand. Some components are okay to treat prior to installation, such as the pressure-treated bearers, floor, and roof boards. In fact, there are some areas that will be much harder to treat annually, so try to get a few coats on prior to assembly to ensure the longevity of your building.

  • Do I need planning permission for a garden room?

In most cases, garden rooms fall under permitted development rights and don't require planning permission. However, structures over 2.5m high or placed within 2m of property boundaries may need approval. Always check with your local council for specific regulations.

  • How long do garden rooms last?

With proper maintenance and quality materials, a garden room can last 25 years or more. Regular treatment, good ventilation, and protection from the elements significantly extend its lifespan.

  • Are garden rooms suitable for year-round use?

Yes, modern garden rooms are designed for all-season use. With proper insulation, double-glazed windows, and heating options, they can be comfortable spaces throughout the year.

  • What's the best base for a garden room?
